1. Who we are

This website is operated by Jessica St-Pierre Gagné, doing business as Technologies JSP Inc ("Tech JSP", "we", "us"). We are committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). If you have any questions about this policy or how your information is handled, you can reach us at jessica@techjsp.com.

2. Information we collect

We only collect information that you choose to give us, and no more than what is reasonably necessary for the purposes described below. When you submit the free website health check form, we collect your name, email address, and any optional details you provide, such as phone number, business name, website URL, and message. We also use Google Analytics, which automatically collects limited technical information about your visit, such as your approximate location, device and browser type, pages visited, and time spent on our site (see "Cookies and analytics" below).

3. How we use your information

We use the information you submit solely to respond to your request, prepare your free website audit, and follow up about our services. We use Google Analytics data to understand how visitors use our site so we can improve it. We do not sell, rent, or share your information with third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Consent

By voluntarily submitting the health check form, you consent to our collection, use, and disclosure of your information as described in this policy. You may withdraw your consent at any time, subject to legal or contractual restrictions, by emailing jessica@techjsp.com. Withdrawing consent may limit our ability to respond to your request.

5. Cookies and analytics

This website uses Google Analytics to help us understand how visitors use our site, such as which pages are viewed and how long visitors stay. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects information such as your IP address (which may be anonymized), device and browser type, and browsing activity on our site. This information is processed by Google, which may store and process it on servers located outside of Canada, including in the United States. You can opt out at any time using your browser's cookie settings or the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on (tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout).

6. Microsoft Clarity and Microsoft Advertising

We partner with Microsoft Clarity and Microsoft Advertising to capture how you use and interact with our website through behavioral metrics, heatmaps, and session replay to improve and market our products/services. Website usage data is captured using first and third-party cookies and other tracking technologies to determine the popularity of products/services and online activity. Additionally, we use this information for site optimization, fraud/security purposes, and advertising. For more information about how Microsoft collects and uses your data, visit the Microsoft Privacy Statement.

7. How your information is processed

Form submissions are processed through Netlify Forms, our website hosting provider, which securely transmits your submission to us by email. Netlify may process and store this data on our behalf, including on servers located outside of Canada. We select service providers that maintain appropriate safeguards for your information.

8. Security safeguards

We use reasonable technical and administrative safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information, including encrypted (HTTPS) transmission of form submissions and limiting access to your information to those who need it to respond to your request. However, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure.

9. Data retention

We keep your submitted information only as long as needed to respond to your request and maintain a record of our business communications, after which it is deleted upon request or as part of routine housekeeping.

10. Your rights

Under PIPEDA, you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, request corrections if it is inaccurate or incomplete, and withdraw your consent to its use at any time. You may exercise these rights, or ask any question about how we handle your information, by emailing jessica@techjsp.com. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe. If you are not satisfied with our response, you have the right to file a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (priv.gc.ca).

11. Third-party links

Our website contains links to third-party websites, including our social media pages. This privacy policy applies only to this website (Tech JSP) [techjsp.com] and does not extend to any third-party websites you may access through these links. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party websites you visit, as we are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes to our practices or to the tools we use, such as Google Analytics. The "last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when it was last revised.
